City of Boston

Organic Navigation was one of a handful of firms selected to participate in the City of Boston 2025 asset management pilot.

Context: The City of Boston was looking to streamline their sidewalk condition assessment process and wanted to pilot available services and technologies in partnership with Stantec.

Our Work: Over two days we assessed sidewalk conditions over two City of Boston neighborhoods: Jamaica Plain and Back Bay.

City of Minneapolis

Organic Navigation conducted sidewalk and crosswalk inventory pilots in the City of Minneapolis over the years of 2021-2022.

Context: The City of Minneapolis ADA Transition Plan recommended completing a sidewalk and street crossing inventory. The City was seeking a cost-effective and efficient way to accomplish this.

Our Work: We mapped sidewalk conditions using data from cameras, LiDAR, GPS, accelerometers, and gyroscopes. The resulting GIS condition maps showed both panel-level resolution and aggregation to block-level scores.
